Joseph Choi receives best poster award

Joseph Choi received Outstanding Poster Award from the USACM Thematic Conference on Uncertainty Quantification for Machine Learning Integrated Physics Modeling (UQ-MLIP) for his work on “Physics-aware AI-directed framework for microstructural design of shocked materials,” co-authored with Phong Nguyen, Yen-Thi Nguyen, H.S. Udaykumar, and Stephen Baek. The conference was held in August in Crystal City, Arlington, Virginia, sponsored by the U.S. Association for Computational Mechanics, National Science Foundation (NSF), and Sandia National Laboratories.
